From Our Guestbook

This house was great! The Lapp’s were amazingly nice. They welcomed us and let check early. Their children were a delight to talk to, one of the younger boys (maybe age 6) told us we could stay as long as we wanted to (haha). They offered us a buggy ride, we wish we had time for. They dropped off fresh eggs, bacon, homemade bread and milk. We needed a big pot for spaghetti and couldn’t find one so one of us walked across the street and Mrs. Lapp had the perfect one. We will definitely be visiting the Lapp’s farmhouse again.

We very much enjoyed our stay! The family was very friendly and did not mind taking time to talk to us or to give us buggy rides! We also were able to walk in the vegetable fields and pick our own lettuce! The kitchen is modern enough to allow for family meals.

We had a nice stay at the farmhouse. It was a great spot for our family to stay for a wedding weekend. Bc of the wedding we weren’t looking for any other activities, just a comfortable place to sleep, get ready, and visit with one another. The farmhouse was clean and cozy. The big porch and scenery are a nice amenity. The family across the street owns the house and came over to welcome us and start a fire in the fire pit outside. The fresh bread and eggs were also a nice touch.

Great place in the Lancaster PA area. Wide open spaces, farm animals, and horses grazing in the fields provide the perfect feel for a farmhouse stay. The hosts are gracious and friendly. The family provided buggy and pony rides and were super friendly. In keeping with the feel of the area there is no wifi but cell reception is fine. The kitchen has modern appliances and there are plenty of outlets and lighting so no worries about that. Great place and we will definitely return if we are in the area again.

This was an experience we will never forget. The home was filled with handpainted local scenery. We had an amazing farm fresh breakfast with fresh milk, homemade bread, farm eggs, and bacon. The best part of the stay was getting to know the loving Lapp family. They generously spent their time with us, taking us on a buggy ride, showing us the farm, and even sharing their produce with us. We love this family!

This is a nice house with plenty of beds for a large family or group of people. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean and roomy. The kitchen had everything you need to cook a simple meal if you need to, and the family provided us with some farm-fresh milk and eggs! One of the family members gave us a tour of their horse barn and my daughter was thrilled to see two-month old foals for the first time! They also gave us a lovely carriage ride right before we left. If I ever need to stay in the area again, I hope this house will be available!

Review title: A Peaceful Stay at Lapp Family Farm
Stayed At: Lapp Family Farm, Quarryville

What a wonderful way to spend a vacation! The Lapp family welcomed us to their beautiful farm with fresh milk, food, and a tour of the farm from the charismatic Matthew, their youngest son!

Horses, cow milking demonstration and baby goats were the highlights of our experience. We also saw chickens, a pony, and the aptly-named farmdog, "Happy!"

The guesthouse is across the street from the family home, and is fully appointed with air conditioning, full kitchen and well-equipped bedrooms and bathrooms.

The farm is a short drive to the supermarket, restaurants and antiquing. There is also a large deck with *excellent* views of the farm and surrounding areas.

Thank you for your review Pete. We're glad you had such an enjoyable stay!

Review title: Wonderful Stay
Stayed At: Amish Acres Bed & Breakfast

If you are looking for a place to stay, this is the place. The host family is so welcoming and friendly. The place is beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. We enjoyed our time there so much and hope to return someday. The kids are super friendly, and The whole family so helpful. The fresh bread, milk, eggs and bacon is so good. Their daughter Linda took us for a buggy ride and that was really nice we enjoyed that. The family were hard at work the whole time we were there but took time out of their work to talk to us. They are a truly wonderful family.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at the Amish Acres Bed & Breakfast. We're glad you enjoyed it so much!
