The Dutch Homestead Amish guesthouse is located just outside the town of Paradise. You can sit on the porch of the guesthouse and hear the train whistles of the Strasburg Railroad in the distance. Although this is not a farm property, there are chickens & a horse, as well as a large vegetable garden surrounding the house (please scroll through our photos above) . There are also Amish farms nearby. We are located 3 miles from Sight & Sound Theater and 1 mile from Cherry Crest Adventure Farm, the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, and The Strasburg Rail Road.
Our guesthouse has 2 bedrooms and sleeps up to 6 people. It also features a large kitchen with dining area, a sitting room, full bath, and radiant in-floor heating on the first floor. One bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a queen bed and a full size bed. Although breakfast is not served at this guesthouse, the Fisher family do provide food for a self-serve continental breakfast on your first morning; such as freshly baked bread, butter, jam and eggs from their hens, as well as seasonal items from their garden. The fully equipped kitchen allows you to enjoy meals in the comfort of the guesthouse while soaking up the peace and quiet of after a busy day of sight seeing in Lancaster County.
