This 2nd floor guest suite, located in an historic Amish farmhouse, is centrally located in a scenic area of Lancaster County. Enjoy a quiet farm retreat within a 10-20 minute drive from the popular attractions of Intercourse, Bird in Hand & Strasburg. The Garden Thyme Amish Farm Suite offers lodging with close proximity to the Amish family who live on the 1st floor on this (non-working) farm property. Relax on the front porch of this Lancaster County farmhouse with a cup of coffee or tea. Guests are free to walk around certain areas of the large property including the pond & meadows. A member of your Amish host family will gladly offer you an interesting tour of the property.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay!! The property was so peaceful, and beautiful. I loved seeing all of the things, and the host Suzanne and her family were wonderful! Suzanne quickly responded with any questions and was very accommodating! I hope to stay again next year when my Mom and I visit! Oh and I got to pick a couple of apples too, they were delicious!

Matt and Suzanne and their wonderful family were amazing hosts. We enjoyed the suite, the grounds and their kids were welcoming to play with my children. They gave us a great tour of the farm animals and were great to talk to. Next time we return, I am sure we will book again with them.

This is our favorite place to stay. We come here often and this time was for our daughter’s sweet sixteen. We brought her once before and she also fell in love with New Holland and this beautiful farm. We always have an amazing time and our host family is always so warm and welcoming. We can’t say good enough things about them or this place.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. This is our third (maybe fourth?) time staying here, and somehow it gets better every time. The property is absolutely magical—lush green farmland, a charming historic farmhouse, and the kind of peaceful atmosphere that heals your soul.
The home is well-maintained, cozy, and full of character. But what makes this place truly special is the host family. They are warm, welcoming, and genuinely thoughtful people who make you feel like part of the family. Their sweet dog (who we adore!) has become a part of what we now look forward to each visit.
Whether you’re looking to rest, reconnect, or just breathe, this place wraps you in comfort and calm. We can’t wait to come back again and again.

We spent a lovely couple of nights on Suzanne's farm for Memorial Day. Our 6-year old daughter had a great time playing in the sand by the pond, watching the longhorns in the field, and playing with the toys and board games in the house. The rental was very comfortable, clean and tidy. Every closet in the kitchen is labelled so we had no problem finding things. We wish we could have stayed longer and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Lancaster county.

Suzanne and Matt's farmstead is beautifully located in Lancaster county, extremely close to the main attractions in the area (Intercourse, Gap, Birds in Hand, etc.).
Matt was extremely welcoming and made us felt at ease right away.
The apartment is on the second floor of the building, with a dedicated entrance, so there are effectively no shared places with the exception of the porch.
Room are spacious and kitchen good furnished, though furniture and bathroom may need a renovation at some point. Beds are extremely comfortable.
Road runs pretty close by, which can be an issue for sensitive ears, especially early in the morning.
If you want a quite get-away which is still conveniently located close to everything you may want to see in the area, it's a recommended choice.

This farmhouse suite is located on a beautiful spacious farm and has such a peaceful setting. It was quiet, cozy and well stocked with amenities. The owners were kind and helpful. We would recommend this aribnb to anyone looking for an escape from the fast paced life.

Suzanne and family were friendly , wonderful hosts. We were met by Matt and kids and willow who greeted us .
My husband enjoyed talking with Matt about the area and the farm. We were showed the animals and beautiful property
We were supposed to stay at a different Airbnb but do to circumstances beyond the other hosts control we had to search for another location . Suzanne was prompt and immediate in responding to us and we could not have been happier with the change . Would recommend this spot to everyone and we hope to come back in the future just to explore the area itself.
Thank you Suzanne, Matt and family for one of the best stays we’ve had .

Such a lovely home and Farm. The hosts are so welcoming and kind. Suzanne didn’t mind answering our questions and was quite lovely to chat with. We had access to the farm and pond. Suzanne even allowed my husband to feed the animals which he loved! The property is so well maintained and the house was spotless. Every detail has been seen too. Very thoughtfully stocked with almost anything you’d need. You could literally have come with clothes and a toothbrush. We would love to stay again some day! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

From the moment my friend and I pulled into the driveway of this home we were wide eyed with excitement. The house and grounds are gorgeous and well maintained. The history of the house was fascinating and we soaked in all of the history that we could. Suzanne and her family were very accommodating and kind and meeting their sweet daughters was so fun. The house was spotless and clean and very spacious. It is a quick drive to many attractions in the area. Thank you to Dave for helping me get booked at such a lovely home. If you are looking for an authentic Amish experience this is the place you want to stay.😊. I would rate this with ten stars !

This place far exceeded any place we have ever stayed. The scenery was breathtaking. The people were kind and hospitable. The place was so very clean. Quite and peaceful setting. We would diffintly make this a place to come back to if we came back this way. I loved that the rooms had scriptures on the walls. The peace of God is in this place.

My husband and I stayed in early May. The farm was lovely and our accommodations were beyond our expectations. We loved the views from our private roomy second story suite. A great place to take morning or afternoon strolls and watch the animals, it suited us very well. While it was very peaceful, it is also a great location close to scenic attractions. With the best of hosts, Suzanne and Matt, I would definitely recommend it to others exploring the area.
