The Sunset View Guesthouse is a recently renovated lodging owned by a young Amish couple who live next door, located in a beautiful part of central Lancaster County.
The Sunset View Guesthouse is on the 2nd floor and the entrance is via an outdoor staircase (see photos above). The guesthouse has electricity and a fully equipped kitchen. The Sunset View Guesthouse is a great option for guests who enjoy being surrounded by beautiful Amish farms while at the same time enjoying a stylish and comfortable lodging.
The guesthouse consists of:
2 bedrooms with 1 king, 1 queen & daybed with pull out trundle
2 full bathrooms
full kitchen
comfortable sitting room & dining area
AC & WiFi
washer & dryer
The rate is $145 per night for up to 2 guests, $25 per additional guest (regardless of age), cleaning fee of $75 plus tax & booking fees. For a stay of one week, 1 night free.

Our Amish Bed and Breakfast tends to get booked up months in advance so consider making your reservation early!

This place was incredibly clean and the check in and out was absolutely a breeze. The owner’s home is a little close, so if its seclusion is what you’re looking for, maybe reconsider, but the guest house itself was private, quiet, and absolutely beautiful.

We had an excellent stay at Kathryn's place. It is spacious, comfortable, pristine, and surrounded by beauty. Kathryn and her family are gracious, friendly, and unintrusive. Although my godson and I stayed ten days, I absolutely could have stayed longer.

We had an awesome stay - only drawback was we could only stay one night. My granddaughter is a lover of animals - Sierra, Gracelyn, and Nicholas showing her their menagerie of pets was the highlights of her trip. Kathryn maintains a beautiful home. The accommodations were clean, comfortable, and roomy. We hope to be a guest again, in the future. Thank you for a memorable trip for three generations!

We had a wonderful time staying at Kathryn and John’s Sunset view air bnb. They are wonderful people and the air bnb was very clean, very spacious and decorated very nicely. The view was nice and peaceful as well. Would definitely stay again!

We had a great stay. The apartment was bigger than it appeared in the photos, had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. When we ran into a problem Kathryn was quick to respond, helpful and proactive. We would definitely recommend.

We love staying at Kathryn’s place, this was our 2nd time. It’s so comfortable, spacious, and extremely clean. And you can’t beat the location, it’s so peaceful, quiet, and perfectly located to be in the heart of Amish country. We have had the pleasure of meeting Kathryn both times we stayed and she is very friendly and gave us some recommendations as well. One of the other things we love about this area is the ability to get fresh chicken bbq (only on the weekends), so delicious and fresh. As for amenities, Kathryn’s place has it all, plenty of towels, a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable bedding, and good water pressure in the shower. Can’t wait to come back again!

I believe this is our third or fourth time staying here, maybe even more. I don’t have enough kind words to say about Kathryn and her space. She is so kind and welcoming, her family is very sweet. Thank you for being our home away from home for these long basketball weekends!

Review title:Most Peaceful Escape Ever
Stayed At:Sunset View Guesthouse
Spent three nights and four days above the carriage house. Guest house was absolutely beautiful. Left the windows open to hear the clippity-clop of horses and feel the amazing breezes. Hardly any traffic on the road, so spent time walking without worry of traffic. Minutes from absolutely everything. Horses and chickens right outside our windows made it even more peaceful. Everything you need to get away. Full kitchen. Super large size rooms. Need absolutely nothing. Will be booking our next stay again for sure!

Stayed At:Sunset View Guesthouse
We take trips to Lancaster multiple times a year. This time was for my boyfriend's birthday, and what better place to go than Lancaster. This is our second time booking an Amish guesthouse. John and Kathryn did an amazing job at making us feel right at home. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by their daughter, who couldn't wait to show us her animals. When we walked into the house the temperature was perfect and the house was so clean. The location was very convenient! We like to buy lots of meat and goodies on our trips, and the location made it easy to drop our bags off after every few shops. It was so relaxing walking down to the pond and sitting at the gazebo by the ducks and swan. If you like to a good night sleep like me, I highly recommend booking the Sunset View Guesthouse.
